Clinical Proficiency Desired

To thrive in this role, the candidate should possess the following clinical proficiencies:

1. Attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during treatments.
2. Strong surgical skills, including simple and surgical extractions.
3. Proficiency in performing quality exams and providing general and emergency dental care.
4. Competence and knowledge base to educate patients and present treatment plans clearly.
5. Capable of performing various procedures, such as root canal treatment, restorations (composite, amalgam), prosthetic work (crown and bridge, partial dentures, full dentures), and pediatric treatments.
6. Additional capability in performing extractions involving impactions, soft tissue, or bony would be a plus.

• Guaranteed base salary ($600-750 USD per day) or 30-33% of realized revenue, whichever is higher.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for the Registered Dental Hygienist position should meet the following qualifications and responsibilities:

• Possess a Maryland license and be comfortable working with both kids and adult patients.

• Perform X-rays as necessary.
• Schedule: Full-time, 32+ hours per week.

Job Description and Duties

As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Dentist at Saluda Pointe, your primary responsibilities include:

• Providing exceptional patient care and service with a friendly chairside manner.
• Creating an exceptional experience for patients.
• Practicing the standard of care set by the State Board of Dentistry.
• Staying on schedule and managing patient flow efficiently.
• Educating and counseling patients on oral hygiene, health, disease, procedures, and services.
• Complying with state and federal laws for chart documentation and following OSHA guidelines.
• Verifying patient health history, documenting appropriately in patient charts.
• Performing clinical hygiene functions, including X-rays, prophylaxis, and non-surgical periodontal therapy.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dental Hygiene certification/degree from an accredited dental hygiene school.
• Current hygiene license issued by the state of Maryland.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training.
• Possess an outstanding positive attitude and demeanor.
• Exhibit professionalism in all aspects of the job.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
